During your 1st or 2nd visit, the Doctor will create a customized treatment plan specifically designed for you, your lifestyle, and your health goals. Although the Doctor may have goals she/he would like for you to reach, it is imperative that you have your own goals.
NOTE: Some people have the notion that their condition can be resolved and/or alleviated in one chiropractic visit. This is largely false. In order for chiropractic care to be effective, efficient, and sustainable; oftentimes, patient's need to receive treatment on a regular basis, in the beginning, to help reset the body from the abnormal position (and posture) it has adopted due to an injury/trauma.
Once the patient shows signs of progress, such as decrease in frequecy of pain, decrease in severity of pain, and/or improvemnt of function, they will be re-assessed to determine how often they need to come and/or to continue care. This is a positive sign that the patient is heading in the right direction, and is making progress towards healing and recovery. Unfortunately, some patients will stop at this point, becuase they are feeling better. However, the key to long-lasting results is adherence to the Doctor's recommendation and lifestyle change.
Remember, you can always talk to the Doctor about your treatment plan. This is a team effort and we are committed to helping you reach your health goals.
